Scythe Infinity Review

Today I will be reviewing the Scythe Infinity CPU cooler. Ordered from NCIX it arrived in a plain brown box with the actual cooler box itself inside. The cooler itself comes packed in foam to protect the base and fins.

Out of the box the cooler itself is enormous. With stacked fins which have a set of heat pipes leading down to the base. The base is polished copper that isn't quite as smooth or reflective as the ol' Zalman9700 was, but still mostly reflective.

Very nice and smooth

Included in the box is mounts for AM2 , and LGA775. Both the current standards for CPU mounting from both AMD and Intel camps. Now that isn't to say that it does it perfectly. For the AM2 socket there seems to be a problem with mounting the cooler for optimal push/pull with the air flow exhausting out.

Reminds me of a trip to the Dentist
